The tests are simple, effective and convenient. All you do is turn up for your pre-booked appointment with a sample of your DNA. This is then dowsed to produce results. An allergy test can establish whether you have an allergy, intolerance or sensitivity and what it is you are allergic, intolerant or sensitive to. By dowsing the DNA and working through the nutritional recommended sheet results can, for example help with cholesterol management. All ages can be tested using this method. The dowsing method used is non-invasive, quick, painless and produces immediate results. (I may also advise a Candida Albicans test).
What do you term as an allergy? For most people it means an adverse reaction to fur, pollen, dust mites, shellfish, nuts, feathers and food etc. Perennial rhinitis-a runny nose all year round-can be triggered by a variety of allergens not always pollen. Food intolerance can cause just some of the following: tiredness fatigue, migraines, headaches, weight problems, obesity, eczema, asthma, catarrh, sinus congestion, IBS ME, digestive disorders, depression and anxiety.
As individuals, our reactions to food and drink can vary a great deal. An ingredient or item that may cause a problem for one person in a family may be acceptable to another member, so, understanding your own personal allergies, intolerances and sensitivities, and their effects on your health and wellbeing is of major importance.
Nutrition is the science that interprets the interaction of nutrients and other substances in food in relation to maintenance, growth, reproduction, health and disease of an organism. It includes food intake, absorption, assimilation, biosynthesis, catabolism and excretion.
The diet of an organism is what it eats, which is largely determined by the availability, processing and palatability of foods. A healthy diet includes preparation of food and storage methods that preserve nutrients from oxidation, heat or leaching, and that reduce risk of food-borne illnesses. A poor diet may have an debilitating impact on health.
A therapeutic diet is a diet that is usually formulated by nutritionists, dieticians, and medical doctors to aid in the healing of the body from certain types of injuries and diseases. Therapeutic treatments involving food are also prescribed for medical conditions that affect the psychological state of the individual as well, such as weakness caused by anorexia, or a loss of appetite due to depression, loneliness, and other mental states that can discourage healthy eating. More common conditions that may require a therapeutic diet include the loss of teeth with age, which may necessitate a diet of soft foods, or a calorie; fat and sodium-controlled diet to treat such routine conditions as being overweight, having high cholesterol levels, or being borderline diabetic.
If you suffer from any of the above a testing session with me could make all the difference to how you feel inside and out.
Recent media and government research into the causes of obesity have shown that there has been a dramatic increase in the last 30 years in the consumption of junk food and refined foods. This is leading to thousands of people developing food allergies sensitivities and intolerances. It has also been reported in the national press, that the NHS cannot cope with the level of patients with allergies, intolerances and sensitive issues requiring treatment. Allergic and intolerance conditions have increased 4 fold over the last 20 years, and in some areas there is currently a 2 year waiting list for NHS tests.
